Only Hmong Episcopal Priest to be Ordained at Breck

Toua Vang endured war and famine in Laos before living for years as a refugee in Thailand.

The Breck School Chapel will be the site of a historic occasion Thursday evening. At 7 p.m., Toua Vang will become the only ordained Hmong Episcopal priest in the world.

Vang was one of hundreds of Hmong who attended the Church of the Holy Apostles. He developed into a leader there then attended Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA.
