Mayor welcomes new biz to Golden Valley

On the eve of the Summer Solstice, KORT Sign Design hosted an Open House for the local business community. The party included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Twin West Chamber of Commerce, and catering by Lulu’s Street Food. KORT produced Lulu’s food truck graphics as one of their first projects.

Mayor Shep Harris stopped by to wish the owners luck and to check out the space. He told the crowd how proud he was of the area’s business growth, and is excited about companies like KORT moving to Golden Valley. “I really like the name too! KORT means Knights of the Round Table, which is pretty cool.” The name is a reflection of the company’s mission statement – to treat everyone equally and respectfully, working together as team.

Owner Steve Bunnell said he chose Golden Valley for several reasons, and is thrilled with the location. “I enjoy meeting with customers in person, and this location is so easy to access from any part of the Twin Cities. I can either run over to their office, or they can stop in here and see a variety of samples. Customers also like to talk directly with the designer and be part of the process.”

Previously a sales and marketing exec, Steve believes signs are one of the most important branding elements of a business. “A well-designed, well-placed sign can generate huge profits but the key is execution, from concept to completion.”

KORT provides exceptional design and production of signs of all kinds. They’re primary focus is business signage such as trade show displays, vehicle wraps and interior décor.
