On Nov. 22 around 2:30 a.m., a 31-year-old male from Mound was arrested at the intersection of Interstate 394 and Highway 169. The man was urinating on the side of the freeway when Golden Valley police arrested him on a number of charges, including a felony DWI charge, according to a Golden Valley Police Department Incident report. According to the report, the man was also arrested for obstructing the legal process when he "tried to kick out the window" in one of the squad cars. In total, he was booked at the Golden Valley Police Department and Hennepin County Jail for felony DWI, driving after cancellation, obstructing the legal process, disorderly conduct and driving without headlights. Between Oct. 8 and Oct. 13, eight incidents of theft from cars, or criminal property damage, were reported in Golden Valley.
A handful of Golden Valley residents reported that their cars were broken into between Oct. 8 and Oct. 13. In one incident that occurred on Oct. 13, a car was reported stolen at the 8000 block of Olson Memorial Highway. According to the incident report, the vehicle was "taken" from the Perkins parking lot.
