The Edina man was arrested on Halloween by Golden Valley Police.
At midnight on Halloween, Golden Valley police arrested an Edina man for speeding, but he wasn't just a few miles over the limit. According to the Golden Valley arrest report, the 30-year-old had reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour before he was pulled over at the 6000 block of Ryan Avenue South. The man was also arrested on third-degree DWI charges. Court documents show that the 58-year-old man has been charged with fifth-degree assault, theft and other offenses a total of 36 times.
Between Oct. 23 and Oct. 27, Golden Valley resident Loren Zemple was arrested for trespassing on four separate occasions. Since 1995, Zemple, 58, has been offending repeatedly, according to Minnesota court documents. He's been arrested and charged with fifth-degree assault, violation of a protection order, disorderly conduct, issuing worthless checks and theft. Court documents show that Zemple has been charged with various crimes 36 different times. A summary of arrests between Oct. 15 and Oct. 23, including two arrests made in conjunction with a T-mobile burglary that occurred in Golden Valley.
According to recent Golden Valley Police Department arrest and incident reports, on Oct. 18 at 6:21 a.m., the T-mobile located in Golden Valley Commons was burglarized. A 36-year-old Brooklyn Center man and a 45-year-old Minneapolis man have been arrested for burglary of a commercial property. Anthony Thompson, from Brooklyn Center, has been charged. Court documents show that Thompson has a lengthy criminal history beginning in 1998 when he was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Since then, he's been arrested and charged 12 separate times for varying crimes including fifth-degree assault, domestic assault, disorderly conduct and terroristic threats. Last week, two men attempted to break into a home on Glenwood Avenue. The men were arrested for the burglary of another home on the same street.
According to the most recent arrest report provided by the Golden Valley Police Department, two Minneapolis men, ages 32 and 37, were arrested for attempted burglary and burglary last week. At 10:29 p.m. on Oct. 5, both men attempted to break into a home on the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue. According to the arrest report, both men had burglary tools. A few hours later, at 12:17 a.m., both men were arrested for attempted burglary and burglary of a home on the 7000 block of Glenwood Avenue. Police received numerous loud music complaints about the home on Independence Avenue where two brothers were arrested for fighting.
A little before 3 a.m. on Sept. 26, Golden Valley Police were called to a home on the 1800 block of Independence Avenue due to complaints of loud music and a possible fight. When police arrived, they arrested two siblings due to a physical altercation. Golden Valley Crime Analyst Joanne Paul said that neighbors have called police about loud music coming from the home in the past. One brother was arrested for second-degree aggravated assault, and the other was arrested for disorderly conduct. Between Sept. 17 and Sept. 19, Golden Valley police arrested three people who were caught stealing from three different local stores. According to the most recent arrest reports, on Sept. 17, a Brooklyn Park resident was arrested for stealing between $500 and $1,000 in merchandise from Menards. On Sept. 19, a New Hope woman stole less than $500 from Walgreens. Later that day, a St. Louis Park resident stole from Super America.
