Evelyn's family built their home in Golden Valley on land owned by her husband's father.
Evelyn L. Anderson (nee Sievert) of New Hope, formerly of Golden Valley Oct. 5, 1919 - Jan. 9, 2013 On Oct. 5, 1919, Evelyn was born to Frank and Mathilda Sievert in Dazy, North Dakota. The Sievert family moved numerous times throughout the Midwest. During the depression years, the family resided in Dazy and Valley City, North Dakota, and then in Heron Lake and Okabena, Minnesota while Evelyn’s father made ends meet as a farmer, carpenter, and as a machinist. In 1928, the Sieverts moved to Minneapolis, and, to help the family’s finances, Evelyn took a job at the De Soto poultry processing plant on Nicolette Island. In 1938, while living with her sister, Lydia, Evelyn met the love of her life, Earl Erhard Anderson. They dated for twelve …

I have fond memories of Evelyn popping over to her grand-daughters house in the summer months, always with her camera in hand to take pictures of the Great- Grandkids and their friends, a truly lovely lady, who will be missed. more ›
