Children’s Activities at Three Rivers Parks
Feed the birds and learn about turkeys with upcoming Three Rivers parks activities for Nov. 20-21, 2012 in the north metro.
The following was provided by Three Rivers Park District. Space may be limited Doodlebugs Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., or 1-3 p.m., at Silverwood Park, St. Anthony. Each week’s activities are based on a different children’s book with a nature-inspired art theme. Dress for the weather and bring a light snack, water bottle, and a bag to keep all your projects together. Cost is $10 and reservations are required. Joanna, I would suggest after removing the giblets and washing the inside cavity lightly season with S&P and placing some rough chopped yellow onion, celery and carrot and trussing it tightly. Not necessary but it definitely adds to the flavor and aroma also add more depth to the pan dripping if you are making a sauce from them.
