Local Schools Ranked Among Nation’s Most Challenging Schools
Robbinsdale and Hopkins school districts have some of the best high schools in the nation when it comes to encouraging students to work hard and providing children with the right amount of challenge.
In a listing published by The Washington Post, schools in both Hopkins and Robbinsdale school districts were ranked as some of the nation’s most challenging schools. According to the listing, Robbinsdale Cooper High School was ranked 1,983; Hopkins High School was ranked 1,721; and Robbinsdale Armstrong High School 625. In total, 2,007 school made the listing. In order to determine what schools are most challenging, writer Jay Mathews used a number of statistics to rank schools, including: The ranking shows that about 33 percent of Hopkins High School graduates, 41 percent of Armstrong High School graduates and 25 percent of Cooper high School graduates passed at least one college-level test during their high school career.
