On Feb. 13, Golden Valley police responded to an incident at Cavell Avenue North at 11:30 a.m. Police arrested Vincent Henry, a convicted felon, who was with another Golden Valley resident. Henry, of Golden Valley, was arrested on firearm possession charges. According to Minnesota court documents, In 1977, Henry was convicted of aggravated robbery and sentenced to five years in prison. In 1986, court documents show that Henry was charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. Officers at the Golden Valley Police Department responded to reports of fights, vehicle break-ins, and drug activity between Feb. 5 and 10. Feb. 5 Police responded to reports of a man walking around Golden Valley’s ACE Hardware and taking “items off the shelves and placing them in his pockets.” The man, who was described as a Latino male, fled the store with a woman before he could be arrested. Feb. 6 Police received tips that drug activity and possible drug sales was occurring at the 3500 block of Mcnair Drive in Robbinsdale. Police executed a search warrant after “two dirty trash pulls,” and found a “small amount” of marijuana. Feb. 7 A woman’s wallet was stolen from her purse when she was at D'Amico and Sons. Other incidents that police responded to include a string of motor vehicle thefts on Nov. 3.
On Nov. 2, a 29-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, both from Minneapolis, were arrested for shoplifting from Menards. According to Golden Valley police, the two suspects, who were related, were caught a little after 3 p.m. and arrested for attempting to steal less than $500 of merchandise.
