Piazza's Italian Ristorante Closes in Golden Valley

The long time Golden Valley restaurant was part of the community for more than 25 years.

With simple “closed” and “out of business” signs posted in the front windows of Piazza's Italian Ristorante, the long time Golden Valley restaurant has closed without explanation.  A man answering the phone at the Piazza's Italian Ristorante Feb. 4 said “the eatery had closed, but refused to give details or his name,” the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported. Patch was unable reach anyone at the business and the website was no longer active. A sign on the front of the business offered a phone number leasing or sale of the site, which went unanswered. Hennepin County property tax records estimate the total market value of the building and property to be $500,000.  The business, located 8851 7th Ave. N., is near upcoming proposed …
