Indeed, the average sale price in my hometown of Golden Valley for 2012 for all types of homes combined was $254,006. As a Realtor, I find it better to look at the median sale price, (the price where half of homes sold for more and half sold for less) which in Golden Valley was $218,500 for 2012.
