Rita Miller of Rogers, formerly of Robbinsdale June 14, 1925 - Feb. 10, 2013 Preceded in death by husband, Joseph. Obituary: Ramona "Mona" Berghoff of New Hope

Service is Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at The Church of St. Raphael in Crystal. Berghoff was an employee of District 281 for more than 16 years.

Ramona "Mona" Berghoff of New Hope  Dec. 4, 1930 - Feb. 2, 2013  Passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Ramona was a kind and gentle soul with a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She loved life and took joy in the simple pleasures. She loved to travel and saw most of the 50 United States with Dick, her husband of 54 years. Mona (or Gramma B to her grandchildren) had a passion for card games and especially appreciated the chance it allowed to engage in good times with family and friends. Above all, she loved her family who held her close during her final days. Mona worked for School District 281 for over 16 years. Obituary: Ernest "Ernie" VanHeel of Golden Valley

Service is Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at The Church of St. Margaret Mary in Golden Valley.

Ernest "Ernie" VanHeel of Golden Valley Feb. 20, 1924 - Jan. 29, 2013  Ernie was born in Freeport, Minnesota and grew up working hard on the family farm in St. Anthony, Minnesota. He moved to Minneapolis in 1944 to begin his career as a carpenter. In 1965, he started his own business as a remodeling contractor. He married Maryann Donovan in 1952 and they had six children. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Catherine; brothers, Walter, Lee, and Raymond; sisters, Eleanor Weber and Juletta Hentges; grandchildren, Andrew and Christina Johnson. Obituary: Evelyn L. Anderson (nee Sievert), Formerly of Golden Valley

Evelyn's family built their home in Golden Valley on land owned by her husband's father.

Evelyn L. Anderson (nee Sievert) of New Hope, formerly of Golden Valley Oct. 5, 1919 - Jan. 9, 2013 On Oct. 5, 1919, Evelyn was born to Frank and Mathilda Sievert in Dazy, North Dakota. The Sievert family moved numerous times throughout the Midwest. During the depression years, the family resided in Dazy and Valley City, North Dakota, and then in Heron Lake and Okabena, Minnesota while Evelyn’s father made ends meet as a farmer, carpenter, and as a machinist. In 1928, the Sieverts moved to Minneapolis, and, to help the family’s finances, Evelyn took a job at the De Soto poultry processing plant on Nicolette Island. In 1938, while living with her sister, Lydia, Evelyn met the love of her life, Earl Erhard Anderson.  They dated for twelve …
