Golden Valley Fire Fighter Retires After 20 Years of Service
David Gustafson was recognized at a recent Golden Valley City Council meeting.
In January of 1992, David Gustafson joined the Golden Valley Fire Department as a paid, on-call fire fighter. More than 20 years later, on Jan. 6, Gustafson retired from his role with the department, but moved onto a full-time job with the city as a Fire and Property Maintenance Inspector. Gustafson was recognized for his efforts by Fire Cheif Mark Kuhnly at a recent Golden Valley City Council meeting. Kuhnly said that Gustafson made training a priority throughout his tenure with the department, and even sought out training avenues that would better his skills.
