Golden Valley Man Charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine

Police say they found crack cocaine in Marshall Borom's car when they stopped him because of a broken taillight.

A Golden Valley man has been charged with possession of crack cocaine after police stopped him for driving with a broken taillight. Marshall Borom, 57, is charged with fifth-degree drug possession, a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The charge has a mandatory minimum penalty of a $3,000 fine. Hopkins police were on patrol near Lake Street Northeast and Blake Road North just before 8 p.m. Nov. 20 when they spotted a car with a broken taillight, according to the criminal complaint, signed by Hopkins Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg. Officers stopped the car and identified the driver as Borom. They spotted what appeared to be a crack pipe in Borom’s shirt pocket and asked him to step out of the car, the …

Golden Valley Police Find Cocaine on Man Seeking Ride Home

Police say Hiawatha Austin O'Neal had 7.5 grams of cocaine in his pocket when he asked them for a ride home from Golden Valley.

A Robbinsdale man is facing serious drug charges after Golden Valley police say he asked them for a ride home, then turned out to have 7.5 grams of cocaine in his pocket. Hiawatha Austin O’Neal, also known as Hiawatha Austin, 25, is charged with second-degree drug possession, a felony with a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of three years in prison and a $150,000 fine. According to the criminal complaint, signed by Golden Valley Police Detective Dave Larson, police were called to a dispute involving a taxi driver in the area of Highways 100 and 55 at about 4:45 a.m. Sept. 30. Man with Meth Arrested by Golden Valley Police

The arrest last week marks the sixth arrest for Jeffery Logeais.

On Sept. 8, Golden Valley police arrested Jeffery Logeais at the 5000 block of Duluth Street on drug charges. According to the most recent Golden Valley arrest report, Logeais, 26, was arrested for fifth-degree drug possession of methamphetamine. He was also arrested for disorderly conduct, possession of a hypodermic needle and driver's license violations. This is not the first time Logeais has encountered the police. According to Hennepin County court documents, between 2003 and 2010, Logeais received six DWI charges. In January 2011, court documents revealed that Logeais was charged with four different DWI charges, two of which included operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
