General Mills Recalls Batch of Granola Bars
The recall includes boxes of Almond Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut Granola Bars.
In a statement released Wednesday, General Mills said that a packaging error resulted in the mislabeling of 1,200 Almond Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut Granola Bars. Because some packages failed to mention that the bars contain peanuts, the company issued a voluntary recall. According to the press release, "a production error resulted in a limited number of properly labeled, individually wrapped Peanut Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut Granola Bar packages being inserted into 6-count boxes labeled as Almond Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut Granola Bars."
