The Golden Valley resident died Tuesday at the age of 87.
A funeral service for Ionel Costea is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Beth El Memorial Park (38th at Winnetka Ave. N., Crystal), according to Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel. The Golden Valley resident died Tuesday at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, two grandchildren, brother and other relatives. Edward Hudoba of New Hope March 4, 1915 - Feb. 26, 2013 Ed was born on March 4, 1915, in Minneapolis, to Polish immigrants Louis & Mary Hudoba. He attended elementary school at Holy Cross parish and graduated from Edison High School in 1933. At age 20, he joined the CCCs, spending a year in northern Minnesota. He then worked days at the Waterman Waterbury Company while attended Dunwoody Industrial Institute where, in 1941, he completing studies in the sheet metal trade. While rehearsing a role for a play at the Northeast Neighborhood House (the "Nut" House), he met Julie Ann Majkrzak, who would become the love of his life. They were married on June 28, 1941. Ed served in the U.S. Navy-Seabees in WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. …
