(UPDATED) Ron Paul's MN Convention Speech Drawing 5th District Interest

Local Republicans readying for Paul's appearance Friday.

See updates below. Ron Paul is set to speak at the Minnesota Republican convention Friday, and party activists in the Fifth District are preparing for a possible Paul win—with one local activist saying "I get the feeling I'm witnessing history." Paul is poised to make a strong showing in Minnesota after congressional-district conventions gave him 20 of 24 available national delegates. Golden Valley Mourns the Loss of a Local Little League Baseball Coach

The loving family of former youth baseball coach Dick Isaacson is requesting all memorial gifts be donated to the Golden Valley Little League in his honor.

Friends, family and Golden Valley baseball fans are saying goodbye to a local legend.  82-year-old Richard "Dick" Isaacson died on Jan. 18.  And while his friends, neighbors and loved ones feel deep pain because of his loss, they also feel a deep sense of appreciation for his accomplishments in Golden Valley. “Dick lived and breathed sports,” says Dick's daughter, Diane Thorvilson. Aside from being an avid softball player, bowler, and competitive Bridge player for most of his adulthood, Dick was best known for his coaching skills. He first began coaching baseball and football back in 1961, while his sons were involved in youth…
