Since 1970, People Responding in Social Ministry (PRISM) has helped provide families with food, financial assistance and transportation. The community-funded social service agency -- located on Florida Avenue, just south of Laurel Avenue in Golden Valley -- is a one-stop shop for people who have a financial hardship. PRISM offers a financial assistance program, budget counseling, low cost automotive repair and more. The nonprofit generally serves families in Golden Valley, Robbinsdale, Crystal, New Hope and eastern Plymouth.
