Sunday: Family Fun Day at Golden Valley Farmer's Market July 28

This Sunday, July 28, is family fun day at Market in the Valley under the Golden Valley water tower.

The Farmer's Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This week Three Rivers Park District's Eastman Nature Center staff will have snakes and reptiles to check out from 10 to 11 a.m.. Golden Valley Park and Recreation Depatment's Puppet Wagon will be on hand for puppet shows from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Craig the stilt-walking magician will be walking around putting on a magic show for kids. There will also be face painting.

Rousing live, musical entertainment throughout the day includes: Laura Underwood performing from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Rob Mahlum from 10:30 a.m. to noon and the Robbinsdale City Band performing from noon to 1 p.m.

Fresh, home grown produce available this week at the market includes: blueberries, broccoli, carrots, snow peas, cabbage, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, Kohlrabi, green beans, wax beans, basil, zucchini, radishes, lettuce, cilantro, new potatoes, green onions, beets, rhubarb, dill, mint, bok choy, collard greens, mustard greens and more. 
There is a certifie organic farmer on site and new this week is kettlecorn.

Also, if you ever forget your cash you can swipe your bankcard at the market information booth and get "Market Tokens" to spend with your favorite vendors.
