Several Events Temporarily Will Close Theodore Wirth Parkway
Walks, runs and bike rides will happen on the road.
Runners and bicyclists will be using Theodore Wirth Parkway during events in August and September, causing traffic detours.
Here are the dates, times and names of the events and what parts of the parkway will be closed on each date:
- Aug. 13, 7 to 11 a.m., Deli Express 5K Your Way, between Golden Valley Road and Plymouth Avenue.
- Sept. 18, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Minneapolis Bike Tour, many roads are affected and more details are available at minneapolisbiketour.
- Sept. 24, 7 a.m. to noon, 5K Walk for Recovery, the entire road.
