The Robbinsdale Armstrong High School football team played in front of a packed crowd Friday night, but it wasn't enough to win their homecoming game. The Falcons fell to the Elk River Elks with a final score of 51-13.
The Elks came in with a punishing ground game and ran the football all night. The Falcons struggled to find a way to slow them down.
Armstrong players were able to score twice in the first half, but failed to get in the end zone in the second half. Elk River's defense was just too much Friday, stopping nearly everything the Falcons could throw at them, and adding a few touchdowns of there own.
