Benilde-St. Margaret's Softball: Red Knights Close Regular Season

The Benilde-St. Margaret's softball team closed out the regular season in a 5-0 loss to North Suburban Conference champion Totino-Grace on Tuesday after out-slugging Fridley, 20-14, on Monday.

The early-week split left the Red Knights' regular season record at 11-9 overall and 7-7 in the circuit.

Next up for BSM is the Section 6AAA Tournament, with the playoffs set to run from May 23-June 1.

The Benilde-St. Margaret's girls lacross team upped its record to 5-6 this spring with a 14-10 defeat of conference foe Spring Lake Park on Tuesday. 

After a 16-15 setback to Holy Family Catholic on Monday, the Tuesday victory ended a four-game losing streak for the Red Knights, who host Robbinsdale Cooper on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Baseball: Red Knights 11, Fridley 1

The Benilde-St. Margaret's baseball team remained one game off first-place pace in the North Suburban with an 11-1 win over visiting conference rival Fridley on Monday. 

Jimmy Heck drove in two runs, with Joe Melles scoring three times; Heck also pitched the victory with a complete-game four hitter.

Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys Lacrosse: Red Knights 11, Spring Lake Park 2

The Benilde-St. Margaret's boys lacrosse team remained unbeaten on the year, improving to 11-0 overall and 4-0 in the North Suburban with an 11-2 defeat of Spring Lake Park. 

The Red Knights host Holy Angels on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Benilde- St. Margaret's Girls Golf: Red Knights Third At Baker National

The Benilde-St. Margaret's girls golf team took third in a North Suburban meet at Baker National with a score of 202.

Cooper Softball: Hawks 5, St. Louis Park 4

The Robbinsdale Cooper softball team improved to 6-10 overall and 6-7 in the North Suburban with a 5-4 defeat of St. Louis Park on Tuesday.

The Hawks have two games remaining in the regular season, at Minneapolis Southwest on Wednesday and against visiting Spring Lake Park on Thursday.

Cooper Girls Lacrosse: Hawks 20, Columbia Heights 2

The Robbinsdale Cooper girls lacrosse team won its second game of the year in impressive fashion with a 20-2 blasting of Columbia Heights on Tuesday.

Brigetta Ottoson led the way with eight goals, while Alex Su netted five goals in the victory.

The Hawks end their regular season at 7 p.m. Thursday at Benilde-St. Margaret's.

Cooper Baseball: Hawks 8, St. Louis Park 1

An 8-1 defeat of St. Louis Park kept the Robbinsdale Cooper baseball team atop the North Suburban with an 11-1 circuit mark and a 14-1 overall record. 

The Hawks host Totino-Grace at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday; a victory would clinch the conference title for Cooper.

Armstrong Vs. Cooper Boys Tennis: Falcons 6, Hawks 1

The Robbinsdale Armstrong boys tennis team topped Robbinsdale Cooper  by a 6-1 score on Tuesday. Cooper also lost, 4-3, to Fridley on Monday.

Armstrong Softball: Elk River 10, Falcons 0

A 10-0 shutout at the hands of Elk River dropped the Robbinsdale Armstrong softball team to 4-11 overall and 2-11 in the Northwest Suburban Conference.

The Falcons are scheduled to end the regular season with a pair of games, playing at Champlin Park on Wednesday, then hosting Osseo on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.

Armstrong Baseball: Falcons 5, Centennial 4

The Robbinsdale Armstrong baseball team defeated Centennial, 5-4, in a Northwest Suburban contest to improve to 12-4 overall this spring.

The Falcons play at Champlin Park on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.

Armstrong Boys Lacrosse: Falcons 15, Osseo/Park Center 8

A 15-8 defeat of Osseo/Park Center upped the Robbinsdale Armstrong boys lacrosse team's record to 9-3 overall and 7-2 in the Northwest Suburban.

Kevin Langerud led the Falcons with six goals in the regular-season ending win.

Armstrong Girls Lacrosse: Falcons 14, Osseo/Park Center 7

The Robbinsdale Armstrong girls lacrosse team heads into its regular-season finale at Minnehaha Academy on Thursday with a 7-5 record after topping Osseo/Park Center, 14-7, on Monday. Individual statistics were not available.

Armstrong Girls Golf: Centennial 166, Falcons 181

Centennial defeated the Robbinsdale Armstrong girls golf team, 166-181, at Chomonix Golf Course on Tuesday. 

Hopkins Softball: Royals 6, Edina 0

The Hopkins softball team shutout Edina, 6-0, on Monday to improve to 16-2 overall and 10-0 in the Lake Conference standings. 

The Royals host Eden Prairie at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the regular-season finale.

Hopkins Boys Lacrosse: Wayzata 10, Royals 4

The Hopkins boys lacrosse team lost to Wayzata, 10-4, on Tuesday to fall to 4-8 overall and 0-7 in the Lake. 

Derek Brueske led the Royals with two goals in the loss; Hopkins plays at Minnetonka in the final regular season game on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Hopkins Girls Lacrosse: Wayzata 14, Hopkins 9

A 14-9 loss to Wayzata dropped the Hopkins girls lacrosse team to 2-10 on the season with one game remaining at Minnetonka at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Individual statistics were not available.

Hopkins Track And Field: Royals Girls Win Lake Title, Boys Third

The Hopkins girls track and field team won the Lake Conference title in the circuit's championship meet on Tuesday, with the boys finishing third.

The girls ran away with the competition, recording 135 points, the boys logged 75 points.

Girls Golf: Wayzata 177, Royals 185

The Hopkins girls golf team lost, 185-177, to Wayzata at Oak Ridge Golf Club on Monday. 

Boys Golf: Minnetonka 204, Royals 234

Minnetonka topped the Minnetonka boys golf team, 204-234, in a Lake dual meet on Tuesday.
