Breck's Kiesel Nominated for Mr. Lacrosse Award
The senior midfielder leads the team with 47 goals and is seventh in the state with 59 points
Breck midfielder Steven Kiesel was selected as one of seven finalists for the 2011 Minnesota Mr. Lacrosse Award.
The Mr. Lacrosse Award winner will be announced Sunday, June 5 at the Grand Ballroom at River Centre in St. Paul, two days before the state lacrosse tournament kicks off.
Kiesel finished the regular season seventh in the state with 59 points on the year. He leads the Mustangs with 47 goals—35 more than the next highest total—and is tied for the team lead with 12 assists.

He helped Breck to a 4-9 record on the year and the No. 4 seed in the Section 5 tournament, where they’ll face the winner of the Academy of Holy Angels and Bloomington Kennedy on Friday. Gametime is set for 7 p.m.
