Breck Swimmers Win Section True Team Crown
The Mustangs used eight first place finishes to advance to Thursday's state meet
girls swimming and diving team showed off its depth on Saturday by winning the Section 2A True Team meet at Spring Lake Park.
The Mustangs won the six-team section with a total of 1,034 points. The win automatically qualifies Breck for the Class A True Team state meet on Thursday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
“It’s a big deal because the team has been working really hard for this,” Abby Erdmann said. It’s fun to see our hard work pay off.”

Erdmann and Chanda Yueh led the way. Erdmann finished first in the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle individually, and she also helped the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay take first. Yueh took first in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle and was also on the 400 freestyle relay team.
In all, Breck had eight first-place finishes, two second-place finishes, four third-place finishes and one fourth-place finish in the 12-event meet.

“It’s really cool to see everyone’s depth come out,” Erdmann said. “I think it’s a better representation of a team as a whole rather than state.”
