Blake, Breck Represented at Wednesday's State Alpine Meet

The Blake School's Jack McNeill finishes eighth overall in the boys standings.

The Blake School and Breck boys and girls alpine skiing teams were represented Wednesday at the state meet in Biwabik.

Blake’s Jack McNeill finished the boys race eighth overall with a two-run overall finish of 1:08.6. His teammate, Skylar Bork, finished 34th overall with a total time of 1:14.1.

On the girls side, Blake’s Tess Ide finished 26th overall with a total time of 1:19.9.

For Breck, Peter Keisel finished 69th overall on the boys side with a two-run total of 1:31.6.

The Minnetonka girls alpine ski team took home that state title on Wednesday, beating the field in convincing fashion at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.

The Skippers won the state meet with 149 team points, ahead of Bloomington Jefferson’s 140 points. The Minnetonka boys took second overall with 167 points—St. Thomas Academy won the meet with a team total of 174.

On the girls side, Erin Olejnik took ninth place with a two-run finish of 1:16.9. Megan Greiner finished 17th at 1:18.1, Marlee Gartner took 20th at 1:19.0, Madison Gartner took 21st at 1:19.3 and Jessica Landa finished 32nd at 1:20.0.

On the boys side, Lars Midthun took 15th at 1:09.8 and Griffin Robillard finished 16th at 1:10.0.
