Armstrong Lacrosse and Hopkins Softball Have Winning Easter Weekend
Today we're covering Robbinsdale Armstrong lacrosse, Hopkins baseball and softball and Breck golf.
It was a light weekend schedule for local athletic teams with the Easter weekend, yet a selection of squads from Hopkins, Robbinsdale Armstrong and Breck did manage to get in an smattering of contests on Friday and Saturday.
Girls Lacrosse: Falcons 7, Chaska/Chanhassen 6
The Robbinsdale Armstrong girls lacrosse team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 7-6 defeat of visiting Chaska/Chanhassen on Friday afternoon.

Baseball: Edina 5, Royals 4
A late rally could not deliver a victory for the Hopkins baseball team as the Royals fell 5-4 at Edina on Friday afternoon in a Lake Conference showdown.
Hopkins fell behind 3-0 in the second inning before recording its first run in the top of the sixth; after allowing the Hornets two crucial runs in the bottom of that inning, the Royals scored three times in their final turn at bat in the seventh to pull within a single run before coming up short.
Individual statistics were not available. Hopkins hosts Eden Prairie on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Hopkins Softball: Royals 2-1 At Richfield Tournament
The Hopkins softball team lost its first game of the season, but still went 2-1 at the Richfield Tournament on Saturday with wins over Roseville and the host Spartans.
A 4-1 loss to Park Center — ranked fifth in Class AA — dropped the Royals to 6-1 on the season after a 7-1 defeat of Roseville, but a 14-4 thumping in the tournament finale of Richfield gave Hopkins reason to smile as it headed home.
Pitcher Morgan Nybo is 6-0 on the season, with fellow hurler Lauren Feagler at 1-1 heading into Monday's home matchup against Eden Prairie.
Boys Golf: Mustangs 165, St. Anthony 195
With Eric Laorr and Blaze Beecher sharing co-medalist honors, the Breck boys golf team defeated St. Anthony 165-195 in a Tri-Metro Conference dual meet on Friday at the Par-36 Minikahda Club.
