Abominable Snow Dash Comes to Golden Valley

A fun multi-sport event is coming to Theodore Wirth Park later this month.

The Abominable Snow Dash 2012 is an exciting, fun and adventurous new multi-sport event that will highlight the best of Minnesota outdoor winter activities: running, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snow tubing.

Two-person teams will begin with a 5k run, transition into cross country skiing and snowshoeing loops, and end flying side by side down the Theodore Wirth Park snow-tubing hill.

The Abominable Snowman began making appearances at winter events around the Twin Cities in January. A sighting of the snowman was reported at the Winter Carnival and he is expected to be at this weekend’s City of the Lakes Loppet. The last opportunity to see the Abominable Snowman this season will be at the Abominable Snow Dash 2012.
