Want To Check On Your Child's Grades and Homework 24/7?

The Robbinsdale Area Schools point the way to the "Parent Portal," which is one of several ways to get district information.

When students return to school Sept. 6, parents will have numerous ways to track their progress and activities.

The district is offering Parent Portal a round-the-clock Web-based tool. Parent Portal "gives timely information about attendance, grades, homework assignments and more," according to a news release from Tia Clasen, Robbinsdale Area Schools marketing and communications program director.

To access Parent Portal and watch a video tutorial, click on the above link or go to the district homepage and click on "Parent Portal" on the middle of the right side.

Parents also can follow the district on and Twitter, and "sign up for Discover, the district’s e-newsletter, on both the district Website and on Facebook," according to the news release.

“We want to get great information to families in a timely manner that is convenient for them,” Clasen said. “The research is very solid here—successful education is a partnership between schools, families and students. The more our district can help our families get and stay involved, the more successful our students will be in school.”
