Perpich Student Headed to New York City in Fall
Career in musical theater awaits Jeremy Harris.
The Perpich Center for the Arts is known for turning out great performers, and it may well be able to count Jeremy Harris among its distinguished alumni, if he plays his cards right.
The recently-graduated Perpich senior is heading to New York City and New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, according to the Hutchinson Leader. The Hutchinson, MN native is planning to pursue a career in musical theater, and was one of 12 accepted into Tisch's musical theater program.
"I wanted to go because it’s right smack dab in the middle of Manhattan and it’s right off of Broadway. I’ll be living close to the place I’ve dreamed of my entire life,” he told the newspaper.
Golden Valley residents will be able to get a last glimpse of Harris at the Children's Theater's production of "Hair" this summer.
