Perpich Creates Empty Bowls to Fill Stomachs

Students and staff work to help the hungry in Golden Valley and the West Metro.

When we think about the less fortunate or families who go hungry each day, it's easy to think it's only happening in Minneapolis or St. Paul.  But there are many people in need of help right here in Golden Valley and in the West Metro.

Students and faculty at the Arts High School at the decided to do something about the problem by creating original, one-of-a-kind bowls as part of a project to raise money to help the hungry in our own neighborhoods.

Earlier this week, adults and students from the Perpich Community took part in the Empty Bowls Project by creating ceramic bowls from clay. The bowls were then be glazed and fired in the kiln at the Arts High School.
