New Principal of Meadow Lake Elementary Recommended

A familiar face at Meadow Lake Elementary could become the school's new principal.

Amy OHern, assistant principal at Meadow Lake Elementary School, will be recommended to the School Board as the next principal of Meadow Lake beginning in the fall of 2012. 

Ms. OHern graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Elementary Education; she received her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary’s University and her administrative licensure from St. Mary’s University as well.

She brings sixteen years of educating students at Meadow Lake Elementary School to this position, serving as a classroom teacher, a basic skills instructor and, most recently, the assistant principal. She has seen parents and staff at Meadow Lake working together to provide an exciting and rewarding educational setting for each student. 

Meadow Lake Elementary has been an integral part of Ms. OHern’s life.

“I look forward to serving our students, families and community members in the role of principal and continuing to make Meadow Lake and important part of their lives,” explained OHern.
