New Leadership at Several Robbinsdale Area Schools
Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion and Noble Elementary will each have a new principal this fall.

Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School staff and students will have a new leader next fall.
John Osorio has been selected as the principal of Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School and will be recommended to the School Board on Monday, May 21, 2012. He is currently the assistant principal at the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Dual Immersion Magnet School in St. Paul, having served in St. Paul Public Schools for seventeen years, where he has focused on instructional leadership, differentiation, and working with data to guide instruction. He has worked closely with family and community groups to develop shared leadership and build connections to student learning.
Mr. Osorio is a former ELL and bilingual teacher, and is well versed in language acquisition and integration of technology. He believes in building a positive environment while differentiating instruction for learners and maintaining the highest level of academic rigor for all students. Mr. Osorio is fluent in both Spanish and French.
Jane Byrne, currently the principal of RSIS, will become principal of Noble Elementary beginning in the fall. Lori Sundberg, current Noble principal, has accepted an assistant principal position at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School.
