Meadow Lake Wins 'Wellness by Design' Award
The elementary school is honored for promoting a healthy lifestyle among its students.
Meadow Lake Elementary has won a 2011 Hennepin County Wellness by Design award. The school is being recognized for promoting safe and healthy lifestyles among students and staff in Hennepin County.
“The innovative and effective approach [Meadow Lake] uses to influence healthy behaviors is an exemplary model for others in Hennepin County and elsewhere,” Todd Monson, Hennepin County Public Health Director, said in a statement.
The school will receive a banner and a framed certificate in honor of its commitment to health promotion.
