Hockey Update: Armstrong Falls to Benilde-St. Margaret's

Armstrong athletes took on the number one seed on Thursday.

Robbinsdale Armstrong High School fell to Benilde-St. Margaret's School in the section 6AA quarterfinals in St. Louis Park Thursday.

Armstrong hockey players failed to score a goal against the number one seeded team and lost 9-0. Benilde players got off to a good start with two goals in the first period and their momentum continued. The Red Knights scored three goals in the second period and finished with four goals in the fourth period.

Benilde-St. Margaret faces Eden Prairie High School in the semifinals Saturday.

After beating Robbinsdale Cooper High School 9-2 on Tuesday, Robbinsdale Armstrong High School hockey players will take on number one seed Benilde-St. Margaret tonight.

The Minnesota State High School League section 6AA tournament will be held at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center, Benilde's home ice, and begin at 7 p.m.

The winner will play Eden Prairie High School or Holy Family Catholic High School on Feb. 23.
