Armstrong Choir to Perform at Orchestra Hall

The Armstrong Concert Choir was invited to perform at Orchestral Hall in April.

New Hope, Minn. – The Armstrong Concert Choir has been invited to participate in the Choral Arts Finale Concert at Orchestra Hall on Sunday, April 15, 2012, one of only five choirs from the state of Minnesota to perform. Dr. Andre Thomas, from the Florida State University, is the guest clinician for the event.

“What a great opportunity to sing on a great stage and learn from Dr. Thomas, who is one of our nation’s finest choral musicians,” stated Stephanie Trump, director of the Armstrong Concert Choir. The choir will perform a solo set of music and will sing in a massed choir conducted by Dr. Thomas.

This event is on the heels of another prestigious honor for the choir, which was selected to perform at the North Central American Choral Directors Association Convention in February, one of only thirteen auditioned choirs and the only high school mixed choir invited to perform in the Convention program.
