Robbinsdale Area School Board Vice-Chair Serves on Stakeholder Panel Assessing Impact of Integration on Health and Equity

Helen Bassett, Robbinsdale Area School Board Vice-Chair, recently served on a twelve-member stakeholder panel to analyze the impact of school integration initiatives on health and equity, and to highlight the importance of education on health.  The panel collaborated with ISAIAH, a  non-profit coalition of over 100 congregations from various faith traditions working in the Twin Cities, St. Cloud and greater Minnesota, and Human Impact Partners (HIP), a non-profit research group in Oakland, California.

The comprehensive analysis conducted by HIP, ISAIAH, and the twelve-member stakeholder panel can be found by going to www.humanimpact.org.
Vice-Chair Bassett recently served on Integration Revenue Replacement Task Force, which was charged with evaluating the use of state integration aid for K-12 schools. That task force began meeting in November of 2011, and completed their work in February of 2012.  Their report can be accessed by going to the Department of Education website  by clicking here
