On Monday, a user known only as “dlw23” asked for some advice about moving to Golden Valley. The potential homebuyer is looking at buying a house in the city and wanted to know what the area east of Highway 100 is like.
“To be honest, the proximity to North Minneapolis has me the most nervous. Can anyone provide some insight into this area?” the user asked on the City-Data forums. “Are there certain areas to avoid? Just wondering if there is an ‘unwritten’ rule or border to mind when looking in this area.”
Local residents overwhelmingly reassured the user that the area was a great one. If anything, they said, it could be hard to find an affordable home in certain spots.
