Golden Valley Home Named AIA Home of the Month

The Home of the Month program is a joint series from the Star Tribune and the Minnesota chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

By all accounts, the Golden Valley home was ugly before Peterssen/Keller Architecture started working on it. It was ungainly and awash in a palette the Star Tribune dubbed style the “Miami Vice ’80s.”

The design team has since transformed the home, though. It has beautiful birch walls, massive skylights and other cozy touches.

These changes to the home’s selection as this month’s AIA Home of the Month. The Home of the Month program is a joint series from the Star Tribune and the Minnesota chapter of the American Institute of Architects in which a jury of experts select the best architect-designed houses.
