What's Closed in Golden Valley on Presidents Day?
Here's a quick rundown of what offices and businesses are taking the holiday off.
The following will be closed Monday for the Presidents Day holiday:
- Animal Humane Society: The facility will be open Monday.
- Banks: Most banks will be closed.
- Buses: Metro Transit routes will run as scheduled Monday.
- Garbage services: Most waste collection companies will run on a regular schedule Monday.
- Government offices: Federal, state, county and city offices will be closed.
- Libraries: All Hennepin County libraries will be closed.
- Medical facilities: Most hospitals and medical centers should be open, but call ahead if you plan to visit.
- Postal service: No mail will be delivered Monday.
- Schools: Hopkins and Robbinsdale schools are not in session Monday.
Skating rinks
Weather permitting, the Wesley, Medley, and Hampshire skating rinks will be open special hours on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. They will be open at regular hours Saturday (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Sunday (1 to 9 p.m.).
