VIDEO/POLL: Fields Demands Ellison Release Tax Forms

Patch wants to know how valuable you think voluntary release of tax returns is in an election.

Critics of Mitt Romney have pressed the presidential candidate to release more of his tax forms than the two years required by law. But , the Republican challenger for the 5th District seat in the U.S. House turned the question around on liberal critics: Why won’t Democratic incumbent Keith Ellison release his own forms?

“My opponent is not in a position to be someone to talk about campaign finance reform when he’s raised and spent over $1.7 million in this campaign alone—outspent us by over 20 to 1,” Chris Fields said. “So when you start to look at it, he looks more like the 1 percent than any of us.”

Ellison indicated that he’d have no problem releasing his tax forms—a notion that Fields quickly jumped on.

But Patch wants to know how valuable you think the voluntary release of tax returns is. Does the extra information shed light on a candidate that affects how you vote? Are opposing campaigns just digging for dirt? Vote in the poll and then tell us what you think in the comments below.

I cannot vote on this because it is not the same across the board, for all political races. The argument for Romney to show his is entirely different than the one for Ellison. But if pushed, and it were all or nobody, I'd have to say they should all do it. I have not been following that race, but it would seem to me if Fields has nothing better than that, then his campaign is in trouble.

Ellison is a taquiyya merchant and an Islamic Supremecist. The use of racist remarks and obscenities to describe his opponet suggests that his campaign is in real trouble. I wouldn't vote for Ellison because of his associations with Hamas connecte CAIR.
