I am currently serving on the Robbinsdale School Board. Five years ago when I was elected I brought a passion for education, a deep belief in the need to provide all our children with an excellent education, and the recognition that how well we do this directly impacts the economic viability of our community. That passion remains. Today I provide tested leadership. I have been a part of a board that works well together with respect, integrity and the long-term best interests of our children, our teachers, our schools and the seven cities our district serves. Together we hired a new superintendent, helped stabilize enrollment (we are even seeing an increase), grown our fund balance to weather the unstable nature of state education funding and we are growing our district with the opening of the new Steam magnet school. We have accomplished a lot, but still have much more to do. With your support and vote I will continue to serve.
