Shaffer Will Serve On Metropolitan Council Committee
He joined the planning group in 2009.
City Councilman Bob Shaffer again will serve on the Metropolitan Council Land Use Advisory Committee (LUAC). The LUAC announced new appointments last week.
Shaffer has announced he will not run for a third term on the Golden Valley City Council.
He first was appointed to the committee in September 2009, according to a news item on the Website for his company, The Foundation Architects.

The LUAC assists the Metropolitan Council with "land-use and comprehensive planning," according to information from the Metropolitan Council. The committee includes 17 district representatives and a chair.
The Metropolitan Council is responsible for many functions, including operating buses, collecting and treating wastewater, providing affordable housing, and planning and funding parks and trails.
