State Sen. Ann Rest (DFL—District 45), of New Hope, wants to know what you want her to advocate for in the legislature. Rest has developed a legislative survey that residents in her territory of Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope, Plymouth and Robbinsdale are welcome to fill out and send in about this year’s important topics.
In a press release, Rest states: "This survey gives constituents another way to reach out to their elected officials. It is important for legislators to hear from the people they represent, but not everyone can make it to the Capital to express their thoughts. I encourage everyone in the district to take a couple of minutes on the website and let me know what they think.”
Sample survey questions include those on capital bonding, nuclear power plants and how the state’s $6 billion budget deficit should be handled. To download or take the online survey, go to the In Touch with Senator Rest webpage. Paper copies are also available by calling Senator Rest’s office at (651) 296-2889.
