Rep. Carlson: Health Bill Not Fiscally Sound

Rep. Carlson challenged the Omnibus Health and Human Services Finance Bill in the state legislature on Tuesday.

said at a hearing for the Omnibus Health and Human Services Finance Bill on Tuesday that one of the main roles of the House Finance Committee should be to establish the budget resolution and to make sure that the proposed legislation fits within the budget.

Carlson also expressed concern that $750 million is included in this health bill without a fiscal note, and because of that the House can, “in good conscience, move this bill forward.”
