Public Hearing Scheduled for Bottineau Transitway

Have an opinion about the Bottineau Transitway and its presence in Golden Valley?

The Golden Valley City Council will hold a special public forum where residents can voice opinions about the Bottineau Transitway.

The forum will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m., in the Golden Valley City Hall Council Chambers.

The proposed Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) route would travel through northeastern Golden Valley along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad Corridor. It is anticipated the City Council will vote in December on whether or not to endorse the Golden Valley route of the Bottineau Transitway.

If Golden Valley votes in favor of endorsing the Bottineau Transitway Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) route, the project will then be reviewed by the Metropolitan Council and could become eligible for further study and preliminary engineering.
