Council will vote on improvements between Highway 55 and Medicine Lake Road.
A new design for Douglas Drive between Highway 55 and Medicine Lake Road is on its way to becoming reality.
The design—which features roundabouts, improved traffic flow, bike trails and extended sidewalks—will be presented to the Golden Valley City Council at Tuesday’s meeting.
The estimated project cost is $20.3 million, with funds coming from Hennepin County, the Minnesota Department of Transportation, grants and the city. Golden Valley’s portion of the cost is expected to be about $9.7 million.
