Election Night Results: Golden Valley Elects New Mayor

Shep Harris defeats Linda Loomis; Mike Freiberg and Joanie Clausen are elected to City Council.

Shep Harris was elected mayor of Golden Valley Tuesday night, beating out incumbent Linda Loomis 56 percent to 41 percent.

  • Linda Loomis—40.87%
  • Jeff Beck—2.81%
  • Write-In—0.20%

Mike Freiberg was re-elected to City Council, and Joanie Clausen beat out Greg Keivit and former Golden Valley Mayor Blair Tremere for the spot council member Bob Shaffer will be vacating.
