Golden Valley Absentee Voting Information for 2013 Election Season

Golden Valley’s city election is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Absentee voting is available for those who cannot get to their polling place on Election Day due to absence from the precinct, illness, disability, religious discipline, observance of a religious holiday, or service as an election judge in another precinct.

You can apply for an absentee ballot online or at Golden Valley City Hall, 7800 Golden Valley Rd., starting Sept. 20, 2013. Get the online absentee ballot application here or call city hall at 763-593-8017. The completed application can be mailed or faxed (763-593-3969) to city hall, and the ballot will then be mailed out.

There are two options for voting absentee:

• In person: Golden Valley voters may vote absentee at Golden Valley City Hall  8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended absentee voting hours will also be available 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4.

• By mail: Absentee voting also may be done by mail. Remember, the voted ballot must be received at city hall by Election Day for the vote to count. Please allow sufficient time for postal service delivery.
