This pilot program will serve 90 teen mothers up to age 20 who are on MFIP and attending the Minneapolis Public Schools, and their children.

The pilot is based on a program in Ramsey County that assigns a public health nurse home visitor to the teen mothers. The nurse is the teen parent’s single point of contact and will develop a strong, enduring relationship, focusing on school attendance for the mother and healthy development for the child.
