Council Awards Photo Contest Winners

The city council praised the work of several talented photographers in Golden Valley for their entries in the annual Views of the Valley contest.

The Golden Valley City Council handed out awards to the winners of the city’s photo contest at their meeting this week.  was started 20 years ago as a way to get residents involved in a community activity and for the city to collect pictures to use for promotional purposes.

Golden Valley Communications Manager Cheryl Weiler was on hand at the meeting to give out the awards.

The mayor and the council praised the winners. Mayor Shep Harris said, “It’s great to see such wonderful pictures of our city and it’s a great way to engage the community.”
