Construction Planned at Starbucks in Golden Valley
Starbucks seeks city approval for a small addition to its store in the Golden Valley Commons.
The Golden Valley Starbucks is seeking approval from the city council to remodel the entrance of its shop. NORR Architects will represent the coffee chain at Tuesday night’s meeting where they will ask the city to approve a new vestibule.
According to city documents, this addition is part of an overall remodel for the store that sits inside the Golden Valley Commons. The vestibule will be 63 square feet in area and approximately 12 feet in height. The city council does not believe public input is needed because the size of the project is so small, according to documents.
During construction, Starbucks plans to close for about three weeks. Instead of operating out of the shop, employees will operate out of a small trailer serving beverages only.
